Transportation of main engine #3

After the successful transportation of the second main engine for FSUE PO Sevmash in May - August 2007, Boreal Shipping was entrusted with the delivery of the third Engine from port Ulsan, S.Korea to Severodvinsk, Russia . Once again we had to take care of heavyweight and extradims part (153-148 MT) but thanks to the previous experience this transportation passed even more smoothly. It took 53 days to travel from Korea to Severodvinsk (despite rather bad weather conditions and ice situation in the White sea), including reloading operations in Antwerp and 12 hours for customs formalities in Murmansk. Transportations like this one present us an invaluable opportunity to gain experience in organization of extra-dims and heavyweight cargo transportation ex Asia and Europe to Russia . And this isn't limited to sea transportation only, as similar cargoes can be transported by rail / river vessels and barges deep inside Russia territory via Arkhangelsk .
